There’s nothing like America’s pastime in the summer, and CMRTA Division 4 wants to take you there! On Wednesday, August 24th, start your day the San Diego Central Library at 9am for the CMRTA Meeting, then network with your fellow local government colleagues as we walk across the street to Petco Park to watch the Padres take on the Cleveland Guardians at 1:10pm.

We have a great lineup of speakers during our morning at the Library including, Ricardo Ramos, Deputy Director Business Operations from the City of San Diego discussing the City’s Cannabis Program, how businesses get licensed, permitted, the collection of tax, enforcement, and what’s to come down the road.

An interactive round-table discussion on street vendor ordinances and compliance from local agencies in the Inland Empire and San Diego including, Ryan Johnson, San Diego County Dept. of Environmental Health and Quality Food and Housing Division. You may have seen a recent news article or tv segment on how street vending is the hottest trend along our coast and urban areas. Hear how various agencies license and permit the vendors, the requirements for food handling vs retail, and how they are being enforced.

We will also have our quarterly legislative update on some important bills affecting your revenue, licensing, and taxes throughout the State. Be sure to bring your questions for exchange of expertise, network with other tax, revenue, and enforcement colleagues and enjoy some refreshments.

9am-Noon – San Diego Central Library
Noon-1pm – Walk to Petco Park, Settle In, and Grab Some Lunch
1:10pm – Padres vs Guardians Game
